Join us for an exciting workshop where we delve into the realm of quantum computing and its implications for cybersecurity. You’ll explore the world of quantum computers, uncover their capabilities, and understand how they might impact data security. Gain hands-on experience in real-world password cracking scenarios, discover advanced techniques for secure password storage, and learn to adapt and enhance security measures if vulnerabilities arise. Additionally, we’ll discuss the potential threats quantum computing poses to traditional security protocols and how to prepare for them.
What you’ll learn
- Understanding of quantum computing basics
- Understanding of how quantum computers affect data security, including hashing techniques
- Practical experience in tackling real-world password-cracking challenges
- Adapting security measures in response to vulnerabilities, along with an awareness of potential threats from quantum computing to conventional security protocols
- Discovering a free service within AWS called Braket, offering up to 1 hour of monthly quantum computer usage
