Medical Signal Processing Researcher (ICP)
Remote-first, Hungary, Full-time or Part-time
We are looking for a Medical Signal Processing Researcher with experience in Intracranial Pressure (ICP), EEG, and PPG signal analysis.
In this role, you will help develop diagnostic algorithms and signal processing approaches for a next-generation medical technology solution based on multimodal physiological sensor data.

What we are looking for
You have prior experience working with Intracranial Pressure (ICP), cerebral hemodynamics, or closely related neurological and physiological monitoring domains.
You understand the challenges of extracting meaningful diagnostic information from physiological signals and are comfortable working across the entire problem lifecycle, from measurement and sensor-related challenges to algorithm design and clinical interpretation.
You bring a strong research mindset, mathematical rigor, and deep expertise in biomedical signal processing.
We love sharing knowledge
This is the best way to gain experience and form a terrific community. 10 paid hours per month are dedicated to internal workshops. We mentor and receive mentorship, hold regular design critique sessions, and enhance our best practices. We create publications, product discoveries, case studies, and also speak at webinars and conferences.
What you will do
- Contribute to the development of algorithms related to intracranial pressure assessment and monitoring
- Analyze multimodal physiological sensor data, including EEG, PPG, SpO₂, temperature, and related signals
- Develop and validate signal processing approaches for extracting clinically relevant information
- Support the design of diagnostic methodologies and physiological models
- Contribute to the development of rule-based algorithms, with potential evolution toward machine learning-based approaches
- Investigate signal quality, measurement artifacts, and sensor-related challenges
- Contribute to research, validation, and evidence generation activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate research into practical diagnostic solutions
You should have
- Experience working with Intracranial Pressure (ICP) or related neurological monitoring domains
- Strong background in biomedical signal processing
- Experience with EEG signal analysis
- Deep experience with PPG signal processing beyond basic pulse or biomarker extraction
- Strong mathematical and analytical foundation
- Experience developing signal processing or diagnostic algorithms
- Understanding of physiological measurements, sensor systems, and real-world signal acquisition challenges
- Ability to work independently in a research-driven environment
Nice to have
- Publications related to ICP, cerebral hemodynamics, neuroengineering, or biomedical signal processing
- Experience with non-invasive ICP monitoring approaches
- Experience in medical device development
- Background in computational neuroscience or physiological modeling
- Experience with machine learning applied to physiological signals
- Software development or engineering experience
- Experience bringing research concepts into clinical or commercial products
What we offer
- International, remote-first team
- Flexible working hours
- Opportunity to work on complex, high-impact systems
- Modern engineering culture with autonomy, ownership, and the ability to influence architectural direction
- Continuous professional growth and learning opportunities
- A transparent and collaborative company culture
- Room for continuous professional growth; mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and diverse challenges
